Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was one of the world's most important politicians. He fought against racial differences during the system of apartheid.
Mandela was born in Qunu, South Africa, in 1918. He studied law in Johannesburg, but his first job was herding family's cattle. In 1942, Mandela joined the African National Congress (ANC) starting a brilliant career as a politician.
But in 1963 he was put in a jail because his anti-government activities - Mandela fought against the unjust system of apartheid. He stayed in prison until 1990 and in 1994 he became the first democratically-elected president of South Africa with 62% of vote. He was president until 1999 and after retirement he started to raise money for children's charities.

Nelson Mandela changed the reality of his country and also of the world, showing that skin color doesn't really matter.

Bullies

Ana Lidia Sena - Goiania, Brasil

I think that bullies first need special attention. Teachers and classmates should give them affection to show that patience and love are important in our lifes. They also should talk more with them, including them in group games and also talking with their parents. It must be explained for both: bullies and their parents, that they are having a chance to act in a different way. If after this special attention they don't change their behavior, they must be punished and be expelled from school.
